REMOVING THE dBASE LOGOS FROM VERSION 1.1 OF dBASE III PLUS       
         ===========================================================


First of all, make copies of the following (installed) files from your
dBASE disks or your hard disk:

        DBASE.MSG

        DBASEINL.OVL

        DBASE.EXE


Do NOT use the original files for the following procedures!!!

Place the COPIES of the above files on a floppy disk or in a subdirectory
with the DOS DEBUG.COM file.


1.  DBASE.MSG
    =========

    a.  Enter the following command:

            DEBUG DBASE.MSG

        You should now see a dash followed by a blinking cursor.


    b.  Enter the following exactly as shown:

This has worked very well for me and release 1.1 of dBASE III PLUS runs with
no problems - and without the opening logo or the ending logo.
